“I see the results of taking a quick-fix approach to looking good and I know first-hand the price our health can pay in the pursuit of beauty” Rose-Marie Swift
We caught up with Rose-Marie Swift founder of RMS Beauty, the brand dedicated to giving women natural cosmetics that heal and nourish the skin. The unrefined, organic ingredients have caused quite a stir amongst the beauty elite. We discover more about RMS make-up and the benefits
What is your morning ritual?
I start every day with a homemade green juice – after all your skin is a mirror to your gut!
My first make-up memory is…
My mother’s vanity case with the brightest red lipstick and her powder with the maribo feathers flowing out of the box.
RMS Beauty products are formulated with raw, food grade and organic ingredients in their natural state, how do these ingredients benefit the skin?
When ingredients are used in their purest form their natural enzymes, vitamins and antioxidants allow their healing properties to remain fully entact and not destroyed by heat and chemical manipulation. I have based my line on “living“ attributes of ingredients rather then the dead (synthetic/chemical) versions seen in traditional cosmetics.
What inspired you to create RMS Beauty?
I’ve learned a lot about the impact of daily exposure to chemicals in beauty care products. I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t live up to its promises. I see the results of taking a quick-fix approach to looking good and I know first-hand the price our health can pay in the pursuit of beauty. I realised that what women need is a cosmetics line that is as pure as possible, one that creates a solid foundation for anti-aging and long-term beauty.
What are you most thankful for?
Life itself and the natural beauty of nature.
Do you have a favourite product everyone should try?
Of course! My hero product, RMS Beauty Living Luminizer.
Feeling beautiful comes from...
Within. Confidence and a little red lipstick never hurt!
How do you like to spend "me" time?
I love being alone and value the peace that I feel in those moments. It doesn’t matter if I am on a walk through a park, sitting at home, or eating at my favourite restaurant. Being alone is very rewarding.
